
Luca Ciubotaru

Luca Ciubotaru is a young legal professional and researcher in the field of public policies, currently working as an Adviser at the Department for Legislative Affairs at the Romanian Presidential Administration. Mr. Ciubotaru holds a Bachelor’s degree of law at the „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași with a scholarship in France, Paris 13, Sorbonne and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and European Integration at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Bucharest. With more than 10 years of volunteering experiences in the youth sector, after a national competition, Mr. Ciubotaru was appointed as one of the two Romanian Youth Delegates at the United Nations for the mandate of 2015-2016. This program involved not only participation in the United Nations’ works, but also a national youth empowerment campaign that comprised events in 12 cities of Romania, with over 2.000 young participants.
After a working experience as an Advisor to the Minister for Public Consultation and Civil Dialogue in the Romanian Government, with main responsibilities in developing public policies in the field of transparency, public participation and accountability for the public sector, in 2017, Mr. Ciubotaru founded a civic group of initiative in his hometown, Radauti, Suceava County, Civic Radauti. The civic organization aims to promote active citizenship and good governance at the local level and to foster civic participation in the nearby rural area, having so far various local successful initiatives.
