Liliana Popescu is a associate professor at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. She has studied at the University of Bucharest, History-Philosophy Faculty (1982-1986) and in Great Britain during 1991-1996. She has a M.A. in Economy and a Ph.D. at the University of Manchester. She has been a consultant with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director with the Direction of Political Planning (1998-1999). Currently, she is Vice Rector of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, with responsibilities in the international relations field. Her research field is related to the evolution of the post-soviet space that neighbors the EU, and the EU’s process of construction. She is also the chief editor of the Romanian periodical “The Romanian Journal of Political Science”.
