Iulian Iancu is a Romanian politician, member of the Romanian Parliament. He graduated the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești in 1985. In 1993-1998 he studied “Managing Customer and Client Relation”, “Accounting for Managers”, “Managing Development and Change” and “Managing Resources for the Market” at The Open University Business School from Oxford. Between 1998-2001 he attended a course in business administration at the same university and in 2001 he earned his doctorate in sciences of the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești. In 2007 he became doctor in economic sciences of Ovidiu Șincai University. He is associated lecturer at the Academy for Economic Studies from Bucharest and researcher at the Center for Renewable Energy and Energetic Efficiency. Since 1985 Mr. Iancu occupied different management positions at Romanian companies related to natural gas exploitation (Romgaz, Distrigaz) and, between 2000-2004 he was state secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Resources, when was in charge of the energy sector. During this period, he coordinated the Romanian energy programs related to the preparation of adherence to the EU. Since 2004 he is member of the Deputies Chamber, as president of the Comission for Industries and Services of the Romanian Parliament.
