Dorin Popescu is a former Romanian diplomat, political analyst and expert on International Relations and European Studies. He is the President and Founding Member of the Black Sea House Association (Constanta) since July 2017, Associate Professor at Andrei Şaguna University of Constanta (Professor Popescu teaches courses related to diplomacy, European Union, International Relations and Journalism) and Doctor of letters / PhD since 2012. He had previously served as a diplomat within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held different positions, as a Romanian diplomat in Moscow (Russian Federation), Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), including as General Consul ad interim and Deputy Head of Mission. He holds the diplomatic rank of Minister-Counselor. Dorin Popescu is a graduate of the Ovidius University of Constanta and holds a doctoral degree in Philology from Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava. Dorin Popescu has authored numerous articles (over 140 studies, essays, reviews, thematic articles, etc.) published in various journals and magazines (geopolitical, cultural and scientific) in Romania and abroad. He is a co-author of thematic programs and university courses in the field of public relations and history of the Romanian mass-media. He is a frequent media commentator on Romanian foreign policy, geopolitics of the Black Sea area and domestic politics. Member of the Scientific Committee of “Patrimonium. Romanian Journal of Historical and Intercultural Studies”.
