Daniel Dăianu is economist, member of the Board of National Bank of Romania and member of the Romanian Academy. He graduated the International Economics Relations of The Bucharest University of Economic Studies. He has a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from the National Institute for Economic Researches, and post-doctoral specialisations at Harvard University. He is also member of HLGOR. He held numerous high level positions between 2013-2014, as first Vice President of the Financial Supervisory Authority, member of the board of ESMA, the board of IOSCO and of the European Systemic Risk Board. He was also member of the board of the CEC Bank between 2012-2013, Minister of Finance between 1997-1998, Deputy Minister of Finance in 1992, Consultant of OECD, etc.
