Cătălin Nae is the President and General Director of the National Institute for Aerospace Research (INCAS) “Elie Carafoli” from Romania. He started his career in 1988, as research scientist in the field of aerospace engineering. Between 1990 and 1997 he was a lecturer in mechanics and aircraft design at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. Between 1990 and 2000 he worked as Senior research scientist, head of CFD Department, at INCAS. Then, between 2000 and 2001 he was senior adviser within the CFD Department at FZJ-Forschungszentrum Juelich, Germany, and between 2000 and 2007 was senior research scientist, head of Subsonic Wind Tunnel Department at INCAS. Since 2007 is the INCAS General Manager & President of the Board of INCAS. He holds a MA in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and another in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest. He earned his PhD in aerospace engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and a post doc in the same field from the University of Glasgow.
